Obituary of Brandon Bowers

Sedan - Brandon Lee Bowers, 29, of Elgin, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at his home in Elgin. He was born on June 13, 1983 in Kankakee, Illinois to William Brett Bowers and Donita (Brace) Bowers. He lived in the St. Anne, Illinois area until moving to Sedan, Kansas in 1992. He attended Sedan High School. On September 30, 1999 he married Sheila Hopkins in Miami, Oklahoma. After their marriage they lived in Elgin as he worked as a laborer in the oil field for Jones and Buck Development and also Lamamco Oil Company. Brandon and Sheila were later divorced. He enjoyed fishing, model cars, tinkering with his trucks, and mudding, but most of all he loved his kids. He is survived by one daughter, Marquia Kay Bowers of Sedan, Kansas; one son, Xane Aspen Bowers also of Sedan, Kansas; his mother and stepfather, Donita and husband Mike Buhler of Sedan, Kansas; his father, William Brett Bowers of St. Anne, Illinois; one sister, Lee Ann and husband Robert Rippy of Brookhaven, Mississippi; his maternal grandmother, Pat Brace of Sedan, Kansas; four aunts and uncles and many other family members. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Donald Brace and paternal grandparents, Chuck and Bev Davis. Cremation has taken place and the family has not scheduled any service arrangements at this time.
