Margaret LaVonne Stevens, 47, of Wann, OK, passed away December 7, 2012 at Freeman Health System in Joplin, MO.
She was born on May 22, 1965 to Jimmy and Patricia (Carr) Williams at St. Joesph, MO. She grew up and attended elementary school in St. Joesph before moving to the Lenapah, OK area, where she graduated high school from Lenapah High School.
On May 28, 1983 she married Gary Stevens, Jr., in Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in the Lenapah area, where they raised their family.
Margaret was a Customer Service Representive for Aarons.
She was a member of the Amazing Grace Ministeries. She enjoyed camping, shopping, but what she enjoyed the most was being with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Stevens, Jr., of the home; one daugther, Cassie Williams and boyfriend Stephon Haywood of Independence; two sons, Corey Stevens and wife Jamie of Nowata, OK, Coby Stevens and wife Kimberly of Coffeyville; her father, Jimmy Williams, Sr. of St. Joseph, MO; two sisters, Cindy Sanson and husband Jesse of Hamilton, MO, Phyllis Sharp of Lenapah, OK; one brother, Jimmy Williams, JR., and his wife LaDena of St. Joesph, MO; two half brothers, Timmy Williams and wife Debbie of St. Joesph, MO, Jerry Williams and wife Crystal of St. Joesph, MO; five grandchildren, Skylar Stevens, Peyton Williams, Trinity Akers, Daeton Patteson, Jaydon Stevens; and father in law; Gary Stevens, Sr. and wife Gail of Coffeyville.
She was preceded in death by her mother and grandfather, George Carr.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday December 10, 2012 at Amazing Grace Ministeries, 501 East 9th St., Coffeyville, KS, with Pastor Gary Stevens, Sr., officiating. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park.
Friends may call on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will be receiving friends on Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to the Amazing Grace Ministeries; contributions may be left at the funeral home or mailed c/o to David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
