Coffeyville - Richard "Dick" Crager, 64, of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee passed away Friday, November 16, 2012 at his home. He was born November 15, 1948 to Eugene and Rosemary (Coomes) Crager in Davenport, Iowa. Shortly after he was born they moved to Wichita where he went to school at St. Patrick's Catholic School. In 1958 they moved to Coffeyville, he continued his education at Holy Name Catholic School. He graduated from Field Kindley High School in 1966. Dick continued his education at Emporia State University where he received his bachelor's degree in Political Science. Dick worked various jobs in finance/accounting; he also was in the National Guard for about 4 years. On June 9, 2003 he married Anita Burkhalter in Estes Park, Colorado. They made their home in Fairfield Glade, TN. He is survived by his wife Anita Crager of the home; his mother, Rosemary Crager of Coffeyville; two sisters, Carol Goode of Coffeyville, Deanna Neifing and husband Steve of Bella Vista, AR; two nephews, Mark Goode of Branson, MO, Aaron Burkhalter and wife Kelley of Mulberry, IN; three nieces, Hayley Winter and husband Gabe of Eaton, CO, Megan Powell and husband Josh of Bella Vista, AR, Lauran Owens and husband Brad of Coffeyville; one sister-in- law, Anne Butler of Phoenix, AZ. He is preceded in death by his father. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Richard Crager officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
