Kevin E. Moore, 54, of rural Wann, OK, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, MO.
He was born December 29, 1957 at Coffeyville to Milton and Leona Mae (Claypool) Moore. Kevin grew up on the family farm in rural Wann, and attended school at Wann graduating from Wann High School.
On February 27, 1987 he married Judy (Haire) Song at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church at rural Wann, OK. Following their marriage they made their home in rural Wann. Kevin was a supervisor at Clean Harbors for almost 25 years; he also raised cattle and farmed.
Kevin loved working with his cattle and being on the farm. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Judy of the home; two sons, Kevin Song of Coffeyville, and James Moore and wife Jill of Stillwater, OK; two daughters, Lisa Dooley and husband Courtney of Coweta, OK, and Sharleen Burgett and husband Josh of Broken Arrow, OK; two brothers, Robert Moore and wife Karen of rural Wann, OK, and Larry Moore and wife Linda of rural Wann; two sisters, Bonnie James and husband Mike of Caney, and Jody Longpine and husband Dale of Topeka; and four grandchildren, Camden, Cole, and Laine Dooley all of Coweta, OK, and Ellie Mae Moore of Stillwater, OK.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Rt. 1, Wann, OK with Rev. Robert Glasgow officiating. Burial will be in the Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville.
Friends may call on Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Leona Moore Memorial Fund at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
