Coffeyville - Louise Neville, 90, of Coffeyville, passed away Friday, September 14, 2012 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. She was born November 13, 1921 at rural Edna, KS to Jess and Bernice (Heath) Blevins. Louise grew up in the rural Edna area where she attended Leib School and graduated from Edna High School. On August 24, 1940 she married Darrell Neville at Independence, KS. Following their marriage they made their home in the Valeda area until moving to Coffeyville in 1971. Her husband preceded her in death in 1980. Louise worked at Roc-A-Chair, and as a cook at the Valeda School before going to work in the Dietary Dept. at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center where she worked until retiring. She was a member of the Valeda United Methodist Church, Valeda Friendly Neighbors FCE, and Jane Dean Coffey Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Louise loved to cook and sew for family and friends, and enjoyed entering her baked goods at the Interstate Fair. Survivors include one daughter, Betty Neville of Coffeyville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Robert Blevins and infant sister, Ann Blevins. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at the Valeda United Methodist Church with Pastor Marcee Binder officiating. Burial will be in the North Edna Cemetery at Edan. Friends may call on Monday, September 17, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Valeda United Methodist Church; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
