Mayola Ryan, 75, of Coffeyville passed away Thursday, September 6, 2012 at her home.
She was born August 29, 1937 at rural Bartlett, KS to Oliver and Rhoda (Allen) Doulette. She grew up and attended school in the Bartlett area, graduating from Labette High School. She later continued her education by attending a trade school to learn how to use IBM computers when they first came out.
On February 7, 1956 she married Clay Holder at Nowata, OK, they made their home in Coffeyville. Mr. Holder preceded her in death on July 13, 1996.
On June 20, 1997 Mayola married Robert Ryan at Coffeyville.
Mayola worked for the USD 445 as a bus driver for 19 years before retiring. After retirement she enjoyed singing in bands at dances.
She was a member of the Tyro Christian Church. She enjoyed doing fish fries for the church and cooking for people.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Ryan of the home; one daughter, Linda Hines of Pomona, CA; two sons, Steve Holder of Ponca City, OK and Kenneth Holder of Moore, OK; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband and one brother.
Memorial Graveside Service will be at 11:00 a.m, Friday, September 7, 2012 at Lake Creek Cemetery with Rev. David Bycroft officiating.
