Coffeyville - Norma Jean Mangels, 82 of Coffeyville, passed away Friday August 10, 2012 at Windsor Place Nursing Home. She was born on January 20, 1930 to Floyd and Gladys Marie (Tate) Inman in Nowata, OK. She grew up in the Nowata area and attended Lenapah schools where she graduated from Lenapah High School. Norma married Albert Vogan who preceded her in death, she later remarried Howard Mangels. She worked for Southwestern Bell as an operator for thirty five years. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Altar Guild. She was active in squaring dancing groups, VFW Auxiliary for thirty years and Southwestern Bell Pioneers. Survivors include one son, Robert Vogan of Lenapah, OK; one brother, Floyd Inman, Jr. of Caney; one sister, Maxine Monte of Bartlesville, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one granddaughter and one grandson. Services will be Thursday August 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. Richard Peckman officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Relay for Life; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
