Obituary of Patricia Spears

Coffeyville - Patricia Ann Spears, 70, of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma passed away Friday, July 13, 2012 at her daughter's home in Coffeyville. She was born July 5, 1942 in Coffeyville to Raymond and Lois (Brown) Drake. Patricia attended school in Coffeyville, Oakdale Rural School and was a 1960 graduate of Wann High School in Wann, OK. On February 23, 1963 she married Kenneth Glenn Spears at Oklahoma City, OK. Her husband preceded her in death on November 15, 1998. She worked at Jolly Kids and also at Jencast Manufacturing Co. from 1981 to 2007. Patricia enjoyed sewing, especially doll clothes that she sold at several retail shops in Coffeyville. Survivors include three daughters, Sherry Spears of Coffeyville, Neesa Carr of South Coffeyville, OK, and Renae Spears-Green and husband Ron of Edna, KS; five grandchildren, Annie Spears, Christa Carr, Ty Wyatt Green, Kendall Green, and Ainslynn Green; and one great-grandchild, Rylan Carr; brothers and sisters, Ronald Drake and wife Donna of Edmond, OK, Janet Dome and husband Bob of Mounds, OK, Monte Drake and wife Phyllis of Nowata, OK, Nancy George and husband Gary of Wann, OK, Brenda Douglas and husband Scott of Mulvane, KS, and Debra Oestmann and husband Larry of South Coffeyville, OK. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2012 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 2300 West 1st St. in Coffeyville with Rev. Ford Hall officiating. Burial will be in the Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville. The family suggests memorials to the Johnson Center for Basic Cancer Research at Kansas State University or the First Church of the Nazarene; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W.
