Coffeyville - Wauhillau M. Henry, 97, of Coffeyville passed away Monday, July 9, 2012 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. She was born February 2, 1915 at Coffeyville the daughter of Ralph and Mary (Lydiatt) Brooks. Wauhillau grew up and attended school in Coffeyville graduating from Field Kindley High School in May 1932 and from Coffeyville Community College in May 1934. On December 20, 1935 she married Arthur "Art" Henry at Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville where Art worked at the Sinclair Refinery after the plant closed in June 1949 he transferred to the refinery in Hammond, IN where they made their home until he retired. After his retirement they return to Coffeyville to make their home in June 1968. Mr. Henry preceded her in death on November 7, 1988. Wauhillau was a member of Grace Fellowship in Coffeyville. Survivors include one son, Ralph "Billy" Brooks and wife Donna of Aurora, CO; two grandchildren, Debbi Webster and husband Shoat, Jr. of rural Lenapah, OK, and J.R. Brooks and wife Celeste of Aurora, Co, two great-grandchildren, Sydney Brooks, and Gene Webster and wife Amanda; and one great-great-granddaughter Shelby Webster. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother and one sister. Graveside Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2012, at Restlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Gerald Morris officiating. Friends may call on Thursday, July 12, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family suggests memorials to Grace Fellowship or the First Baptist Church; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
