Obituary of Lester Gray

Coffeyville - Raymond Lester Gray, Jr., 65 of Coffeyville passed away July 5, 2012 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born June 28, 1947 to Raymond Lester, Sr. and Susie (Shamblin) Gray at Coffeyville. Lester grew up and attended schools in Coffeyville, completing his junior and senior year at Farwell, TX. On February 3, 1971 he married Gayle Rynearson in Coffeyville. After marriage they made their home in Coffeyville. Lester was a Sexton for Fairview Cemetery for over 20 years before retiring in 2009. Lester loved fishing, hunting and cooking. He is survived by his wife Gayle Gray of the home; three sons, Raymond Lester Gray III and his wife Christy of Caney, Johnny Gray and his wife Angela of Coffeyville, and Dee Shannon Dillard of Lubbock, TX; one daughter, Christy Little and her husband Benny of Nowata, OK; three brothers, Allen Hiebert of Ottawa, KS, Jerry Hiebert of McPherson, KS, and Timothy McHugh of Louisiana; one sister, Colleen Hufford of Coffeyville; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one infant son; his parents; and one brother, Jimmy Dee Gray. A Memorial Service Celebrating Lester's life will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 9, 2012 at the Southview Church of God in South Coffeyville, OK with Rev. Johnny Gray and Rev. Ernie Wright officiating. Following Lester's wishes cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the register book on Sunday, July 8, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the David W.
