Ronald Bruce Boley, 63, passed away June 27, 2012 at home with his loved ones by his side.
Ron was born in Coffeyville on March 31, 1949 to Billie E. and Norma Jean (Oneslager) Boley. He attended schools in Coffeyville, graduating from FKHS in 1967. Ron joined the Army in 1969 serving in Army Aviation. He served two tours of duty in Viet Nam.
On February 19, 1972 he married Stephanie Ann Zillifro in Coffeyville. While serving his country, they lived in North Carolina, Kentucky, Georgia, Louisiana, Stuttgart and Ansbach Germany. Upon his retirement in 1989, they moved back to Coffeyville and made their home there. He went to Vo-Tech school to brush up on automotive repair work. He graduated from Coffeyville Community College in 1991. He worked on autos at times at home.
He was a member of the Tyro Christian Church whom he attended with his wife, daughter and grandchildren; he was a life-time member of the VFW. His hobby was building computers for himself and family
Surviving to keep his memory alive is his wife, Stephanie of the home, one son Ronald Brent and wife Bronda of Wichita, one daughter Stephanie Diane Kelley of the home and ex-daughter-in-law, Shauna Beye of Coffeyville, seven grandchildren whom he loved very much; Michelle Robbins, Kyle Robbins, and Grace Renae Boley of Wichita, Shyla Boley of VA, Emily Beye of Coffeyville and Ashley and Eddie Kelley of the home and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his four legged children AJ, Mac and Gunney.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister and grandparents.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday June 30, 2012 at Restlawn Memorial Park with David Bycroft Officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by U.S Army Honor Guard Fort Riley Kansas/
Friends may call on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice or Coffeyville Regional Medical Center Foundation; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
