Sedan- Tammy Lucille (Morgan) Buhler, 39, of Elgin, Kansas passed away Monday, April 30, 2012 at her home in Elgin.
She was born July 5, 1972 in Enid, Oklahoma to Richard Eugene Morgan and Karen (Ott) Morgan. When she was six they moved to Elgin where she has lived most of her life. She graduated from Sedan High School in 1990. She later attended Independence Community College.
On February 23, 1991 she married Roger Buhler in Elgin, Kansas. They made their home in Elgin as she was a stay at home mom and housewife.
She was a member of the Chautauqua Baptist Church in Chautauqua, Kansas. She also was a former President of the City Council in Elgin, volunteered at the Sedan Schools, visited the elderly in Elgin, loved bowling, babysitting, and Bible study in Elgin, she was a very giving person and will be missed by many people.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jamie Buhler.
She is survived by her husband, Roger Buhler of the home in Elgin, Kansas; two sons, Trenton and wife Jolene Buhler of Sedan, Kansas and Zachary Buhler of Elgin, Kansas; her mother, Karen Buhler of Elgin, Kansas and her father, Richard Morgan of Elgin, Kansas; three brothers, Donald and wife Patty Bullock of Pittsburg, Kansas, R.C. and wife Marcie Bullock of Moore, Oklahoma, and Curtis Morgan of Sedan, Kansas; two sisters, Terry and husband Jonathan Norris of Batesville, Arkansas and LaJean and husband Shane Hurt of Sedan, Kansas; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Friday, May 4, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chautauqua Baptist Church in Chautauqua with Pastor Kevin Fogerty officiating. Burial will follow at the Elgin Cemetery in Elgin.
Family and friends may call Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan.
The family has suggested memorials to the Zachary Buhler Scholarship Fund c/o First National Bank of Sedan and may be left in care of the David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 209 N. Douglas, Sedan, Kansas 67361.
