Carl William Sack, 80, of Coffeyville former longtime rural Liberty resident, passed away Sunday night (March 9, 2008) at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 20, 1927 at Liberty, Kansas to John and Johanna "Josie" (Murphy) Sack. He grew up in the Liberty area and attended Blue Ribbon School.
Carl farmed with his father and lived on the family farm until 1986 when he moved to Coffeyville.
He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include two nieces, Debbie (Jr.) Manley of Coffeyville, and Janet (Bob) Farrell of Grand Lake, OK; one nephew, Randy (Linda) Mills of Pembroke Pines, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Pauline Starts and Mary Mills.
A Rosary Vigil Service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday (March 11, 2008) at Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (March 12, 2008) at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Jerome Spexarth officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery
Friends may call on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
