Helen L. Armstrong Eustice, 98, of Coffeyville passed away Tuesday April 3, 2012 at Windsor Nursing Home.
She was born April 20, 1913 at Fredonia, KS to Rolla and Bell (Johnson) Marshall. She grew up in rural Fredonia and attended Fredonia schools where she graduated High School from Fredonia High School.
In October 1932 she married Harold Armstrong at Fredonia. Together they had five children, he preceded her in death.
On March 31, 1979 she married Harry Eustice at Neodesha. Following their marriage they made their home in Neodesha. Harry preceded her in death on December 26, 1987. In 1992 she moved to Coffeyville.
In 1953 she went to work at the Continental Can Company, later she worked at the Ammunition Plant in Parsons. Helen also worked as a CNA at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center and Mercy Hospital in Independence.
Helen was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Coffeyville.
Survivors include one son Robert Armstrong of Coffeyville, three daughters; Patty Holt of Wichita, Carolyn McGinnis of Coffeyville and Marilyn Ingle of Springfield, MO, eleven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one son Harold Armstrong, Jr., five brothers and two grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2012 at the Fredonia Cemetery in Fredonia with Rev. Ford Hall.
A Memorial Service Celebrating her life will at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2012 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Coffeyville.
Friends may call on Thursday, April 5, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
The family suggests memorials to the First Church of the Nazarene or the Alzheimer's Association; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 N. Cline Rd., Coffeyville, KS 67337.
