Coffeyville - Mary Alice Douglas, 82, of Coffeyville, passed away Monday, March 12, 2012 at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa, OK. She was born June 14, 1929 at Licking, MO, to Luther Thomas and Anna Edith (Hebblethwaite) Comstock. When she was young her family moved to the Coffeyville area where she grew up and attended school. In 1944 she married Henry Lee Tickle, together they had five children. They were divorced in 1968. In 1969 she married William Thornbrugh, he preceded her in death in 1988. On February 6, 1995 she married Ronald "John" Douglas, he survives at the home. Mary was a member of Southview Church of God in South Coffeyville, OK. She enjoyed crocheting, singing, working crossword puzzles, and loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, Ronald "John" Douglas of the home; four sons, Henry Lee Tickle, Jr., James Ray Tickle, Luther Willis Tickle, and Jack Arthur Tickle; one daughter, Albertis Louise Bray all of Coffeyville; one sister, Wanda Mae McCullough of Pryor, OK; one brother, Lenvel Comstock of Winfield, KS; fourteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the Southview Church of God in South Coffeyville, OK, with Rev. John Lockaby officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville. Friends may call on Monday, March 19, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family suggests memorials to Southview Church of God, or the American Cancer Society; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
