Obituary of Pauline Doris Spellins

Sedan - Pauline Doris Spellins, 80, of Sedan, Kansas passed away Monday, March 12, 2012 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She was born June 18, 1931, in Jenks, Oklahoma to Hoisy Elmer Lambright and Katherine Marie (Groden) Lambright. She grew up and attended high school in Oklahoma. On April 6, 1949 she married Floyd Spellins in California. They lived in California for most of their adult life until she was preceded in death by Floyd in August of 1978. She then moved to Sedan in 1980. She was a cook at many different places until she retired after forty years of being a cook. She loved to read books, watch the hummingbirds, and watch old westerns on television. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and three sisters. She is survived by one daughter; Kathy Trewin and husband Wilbur McGill of Sedan, Kansas; two sons, Boyd Spellins of Sedan, Kansas and Phillip and wife Jana Spellins of Enid, Oklahoma; one brother, Jackie Lambright of Roseburg, Oregon; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. A Graveside service will be held Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sedan with Reverend Paul Stetz of the Sedan Assembly of God Church officiating. Family and friends may call on Friday, March 16, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan.
