Obituary of William Coons

Coffeyville - William Ray Coon, 51, of Wichita, passed away Friday, February 17, 2012 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He was born January 6, 1961 at Kansas City, MO to Delbert Ray and Martha (Donaghe) Coons. When he was young his family moved to Coffeyville where he grew up and attended school. Mr. Coons worked for Tyson Foods in Emporia until becoming disabled. He later moved to Wichita. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Randy Coons of Coffeyville; one daughter, Nicole Coons of San Antonio, TX; his parents, Delbert and Martha Coons of Coffeyville; one brother, Ted Coons of Coffeyville; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandchild. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2012 in the Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville. Friends may call on Monday from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
