Coffeyville - Sandra Jean Phillips, 61, of Coffeyville, and former longtime South Coffeyville, OK resident passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 at her home. She was born December 30, 1950 at Coffeyville to Charles Fredrick and Billie Jean (Middleton) Fisher. Sandra grew up and attended school in South Coffeyville, graduating from Lenapah High School in Lenapah, OK. After completing high school she attended beauty college. In 1968 she married Jerry Phillips, they were later divorced. Sandra worked as a hair stylist for several years. She later worked for Windsor Home Health and at K & S Oil Co. She was a active member of the First Church of God in Coffeyville, a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary, enjoyed growing flowers, bowling, reading, and music, and loved spending time with her family. Survivors include one daughter, Angela Phillips of Coffeyville; one son, Shannon Phillips of Coffeyville; five sisters, Connie Pfifer and husband Phil of rural Liberty, Cheryl Green of Coffeyville, Patricia Kucyk of Coffeyville, Tammy Kinsley and husband Lynn of Cushing, OK, and Shelia Morales and husband Felix of Coffeyville; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Robert Charles Fisher. Following Sandra's wishes cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service celebrating her life will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2012 at the First Church of God, 5th and Cline in Coffeyville with Rev. Mark Wilson officiating. Friends may sign the register book on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family suggests memorials to the First Church of God; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
