Sedan - Hazel L. Wolley, 81, of rural Elk City, passed away Monday, December 26, 2011 at Pleasant Valley Manor in Sedan.
She was born January 25, 1930 at Anthony, KS to Manford E. and E. Pearl (Smith) Longland. She grew up and attended school in Anthony graduating from Anthony High School.
On July 3, 1949 she married Russell D. Wolley at Anthony. Following their marriage they made their home in Wichita where they raised their family and she was an Inspector at NCR Corp for 17 years retiring in 1992. Following their retirement they moved to rural Elk City. Her husband preceded her in death on November 11, 2002.
Mrs.Wolley attended the Christian Church in Anthony. She loved to read, crochet and spend time with her family.
Survivors include three sons, Steven Wolly of Sedan, Robert Wolley of Wichita, and William Wolley of Elk City; one daughter, Marilyn Marvin of Gerald, MO; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter and one brother.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2011 in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Bluff City, KS. Following her wishes cremation has taken place.
Friends may sign the register book on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan.
