My grandson, Mark, a friend of your granddaughter Abby, called
today to tell me of Hack's death.
Your years in Goodland were a shorter time than mine were but those were good times!. I also enjoyed seeing you at ball games many years later. Enjoyed it even when he wore a striped shirt!
Love,
Marjorie Hayes

Lisa and Family, Hack is truly remembered with a smile in my heart. He touched my life as a child in grade school at Lowell; he was a great principal! I, too, have many fond memories of him elsewhere in the community. He will truly be missed, but lives on his family.

Dear Lisa and family,
I didn't hear of the loss of your father until today. Sorry that I was not able to make the service. I am thinking of the Brookover family at this time, and what a great man Hack was to his family and community. A wildcat fan that was one of the best!
I will be in touch.

Dear Pat, Craig, Lisa & Tim:
My morning got messed up today - so what else is new - and could not make the service as planned. I've known you all for about as long as I can remember anyone, and share your loss while at the same time celebrate Hack's life and the way he lived it. Count me among the thousands who benefited and learned from his shared wisdom and always positive outlook. Best regards to all of you.

Dear family,
I am saddened by the news that Hack had passed. I will always remember him of being a Great Supporter of Tornado football & other sports as well in my tenure as football coach there in '72-75. He was also always present at First Presby church as well as supporting our softball teams during my spell there. If I remember, Craig was our center fielder on those teams. Hack was always there with his support. He will be missed by many in the community. Our thoughts & prayers are with the family during these difficult days that lie ahead.
Sincerely,
Coach Jim Stockard

Dear Pat, Craig, Lisa & Tim:
I am so saddened for your loss. I have many fond memories of Hack. He gave me my first "real job" at Hack's Sport Shack, our family enjoyed so many fun times at your house & ours, KState football games & I'll always remember Hack, along with Dad, yelling at me to "penetrate" during FKHS basketball games.
It is a testament to the many that loved, respected & admired Hack by the beautiful entries. written to you & your family.
May he be at peace & reunited with loved ones & friends.
I send my love to all of you.
Elizabeth
