Alicia Diane Damet, 30, of Topeka, KS passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011 in her home at Kansas Neurological Institute in Topeka.
She was born August 17, 1981 at Emporia, KS to John and Sandra (Hardaway) Damet. Alicia spent her early childhood in Burlington where she attended school from Kindergarten until she was in the 4th grade, from 4th to 9th grade she attended school at Winfield, she completed her education at Kansas Neurological Institute where she made her home since she was 16.
Alicia was a member of the Assembly of God, and the Chapel Group at KNI. She enjoyed finger painting, arts and crafts, photography showing many of her pictures at the Kansas State Fair, and loved shopping and music.
Survivors include her parents, John and Sandra Damet of Johnson, NE; two sisters, Holly Johnson and husband Dan of Ham Lake, MN, and Lynsey Damet of Lincoln, NE; two nephews Kaden, and Blake Johnson of Ham Lake, MN; paternal grandparents, Houston and Mildred Damet of Sapulpa, OK, and Clarice Doback of Tulsa, OK; maternal grandparents, Charlotte and Dan White of Coffeyville, and the late Harvey Hardaway , and maternal step-great-grandmother, Mildred White of Coffeyville.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents Fred and Oletha Upton, Elmer and Aletha Hardaway and Louisa Hastings all of Coffeyville; and Lee and Annie Damet of Waggoner, OK.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the First Assembly of God in Coffeyville with Rev. Randy DePriest officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville.
Friends may call on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
