Coffeyville - Betty C. Blue, 72, of Coffeyville, passed away Sunday (February 17, 2008) at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. She was born February 26, 1935 at Coffeyville to George O. and Elsie Ruby (Gerler) Clark. She grew up and attended school in Coffeyville graduating from Field Kindley High School. On December 5, 1952 she married John Blue at Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville. Betty was employed as Breakfast Manager at Hardee's for 17 years. She also volunteered as a Pink Lady for the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center Auxiliary for 15 years. Mr. Blue preceded her in death on June 20, 1989. Betty was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church; she enjoyed time spent with her family and watching old movies. Survivors include one daughter, Johnna and Herb Antle of Coffeyville; one son, Rick and Shawn Blue of Augusta, KS; one sister, Ruth Broker of South Coffeyville, OK; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one sister, Rozella Mangels. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday (February 20, 2008) at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Richard Peckman officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family suggests memorials to the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center Auxiliary; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 N. Cline Rd., Coffeyville, KS 67337 David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville is in charge of arrangements.
