June Evelyn Weeks, 83, of Coffeyville, passed away Thursday (February 24, 2008) at Windsor Place in Coffeyville.
She was born January 14, 1925 at St. Louis, MO to Bayliss and Ruby (Fessler) Stewart. She moved with her family to Washington and California. June completed her education at San Jose, CA.
On September 11, 1940 she married Rollo Weeks at San Jose, CA. Following their marriage they made their home in California until moving to Coffeyville in 1956. Mr. Weeks preceded her in death in 1988.
Whenever possible June attended meetings at Coffeyville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include one son Mike Weeks of Coffeyville; one daughter, Carol Hicks of Springdale, AR; one brother, Harry Stewart of Bellingham, WA; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one son, Robert Weeks in 1984.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday (February 18, 2008) at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville with Marvin Downing of the Coffeyville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses officiating.
Friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
The family suggests memorials to the Coffeyville Kingdom Hall building fund; contributions may be left with the funeral home; or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
