Florence A. Crisp, 82 of Coffeyville passed away on Thursday evening October 6, 2011, at Windsor Place Nursing Home.
She was born on April 23, 1929 to Wilson and Myrtle May (Todd) Andrews in Coffeyville. She grew up and attended Coffeyville schools, graduating from Field Kindley Memorial High School.
Florence was married on December 12, 1947 to Kenneth Crisp at Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church. They resided in Coffeyville, making it their home together for 62 years. She was a familiar face at the Nu-Way food liner, where she worked as a cashier for 37 years until the store was closed. She continued to do what she enjoyed for 17 more years at Country Mart.
She was a member at Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church. There she was in the choir, taught Sunday school, and was a teacher at vacation bible school. She was also involved in the cancer society. Her main priority was touching people's lives anyway she could.
Survivors include her husband Kenneth Crisp of the home, one daughter; Nancy and her husband Shawn Mulberry of Coffeyville, one brother: Richard Andrews of Coffeyville, one grandson: David and his wife Dianna McDaniel of Bartlesville OK and one great-granddaughter: Breana McDaniel of Bartlesville OK.
She is preceded by her parents, beloved grandson Chris McDaniel, one sister Jolene Wilson and two brothers William Andrews and Andy Andrews.
Services will be held at Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday October 11, 2011. Burial will be held at Restlawn Cemetery.
Friends may visit on Monday October 10, 2011 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home.
