Clover Elaine Brant, 96, of Coffeyville, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville.
She was born September 28, 1915 at Eureka, KS to Bert and Edith (Todd) Miller. When she was young her family moved to Coffeyville where she grew up and attended school graduating from Field Kindley High School and Coffeyville Community College.
On November 24, 1938 she married William John "Bill" Brant at Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville. Her husband preceded her in death on June 24, 1989.
Clover was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, and Holy Name Altar Society. She enjoyed playing bridge, going shopping, baking, cooking, and working in her flower garden. Clover loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, John Brant and wife Teri of Bartlesville, OK, and Tim Brant of Coffeyville; four grandsons, Jeff Brant and wife Kerri of Stillwater, OK, Josh Brant and wife Alicia of Moore, OK, Matt Brant of Broken Arrow, OK, and Steven Brant of Los Angeles, CA; and two great-grandchildren, Falon Brant and Nikki Brant both of Stillwater, OK.
Clover was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Donna Brant in 1948, one brother, Bert Miller, Jr., and one sister, Marge Plate.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 7, 2011 at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Ben Nguyen officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call today, October 6, 2011 until 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
