Shirley Jean Wishall, 70, of Coffeyville passed away Friday, September 2, 2011 at Sr. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK.
She was born July 26, 1941 at Chautauqua, KS to Clarence and Treva (Clayton) Huckstep. Shirley grew up and attended school in the Elgin, KS and graduated from Peru High School in Peru, KS in 1961. After graduating from high school she moved to Coffeyville and worked at George's Cafeteria where she met her husband.
On June 7, 1969 she married James Wishall at Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville.
Shirley was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church. She loved to garden, paint and read, and especially loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Survivors include her husband, James of the home; daughter, Teresa Jarman of Tulsa, OK; daughter, Elizabeth "Lisa" Wagner and husband Mike of Edan; son, Daniel Wishall and wife Amber of Nowata, OK; daughter, Joyce Jones and husband Jason of Coffeyville; son, Thomas Wishall and wife Misty of Bartlesville, OK; three sisters, Marcella Wood of Tulsa, OK, Catherine Small of Independence, MO, and Eleanor Huckstep of Sedan; ten grandchildren, Christopher Wagner, Logan Jarman, Dillon Jarman, Jayden Wagner, Christian Jarman, Jon Jones, Nicholas Wagner, William Wishall, Gavin Wishall, and Irie Wishall, three step-grandchildren, Jaymes "Tyler" Jarman, Jason Jones, Jr., and Jake Jones; and one step-great-grandson, Jason Jones III.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Wilma Wilson, and one brother, Clarence Huckstep, Jr.
A Rosary Vigil Service will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Ben Nguyen officiating. Burial will follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery at Liberty, KS.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
The family suggests memorials to Shriners Hospital for Children; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W, Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, Ks 67337..
