Obituary of Keith E. Ullum

Sedan - Keith E. Ullum, age 72, of Sedan, Kansas passed away, Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at his home. He was born February 25, 1939 in Newton, Kansas to Karl E. and Waneta M. (Dent) Ullum. He was raised and attended school in Potwin, Kansas. He enlisted in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged. On June 25, 1965 he married Reva Ann Walker in Miami, Oklahoma. They made their home in Sedan for the past forty six years where he worked many jobs and was an oil field worker for a number of years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, horses, and Friday night football games at Sedan, grandkids, nascar, and wrestling. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Carlene June Ullum and one granddaughter, Jessica Ashlynn Ullum. He is survived by his wife Reva Ann Ullum of the home in Sedan; two sons, Karl Gene and wife Tracey Ullum of Sedan, Kansas and Michael Eugene and wife Mary Jane Ullum of Sedan, Kansas; one daughter, Janet Kay and husband Russel Coleman of Wichita, Kansas; one sister, Janice K. (Ullum) Phillips of Potwin, Kansas; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Monday, August 22, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Potwin City Cemetery in Potwin, Kansas with Hospice Chaplain Mike Graham officiating. The family has suggested memorials to the American Cancer Society and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and those remembrances can be left in care of the David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 209 N. Douglas, Sedan, Kansas 67361.
