Obituary of Ralph Copeland

Coffeyville - Ralph Copeland, 87, of Coffeyville, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. He was born November 5, 1923 at Bolton, KS to Charlie and Marie (Hudson) Copeland. Ralph grew up in the Harrisonville community where he received his elementary education at Harrisonville School, and graduated from Wayside High School. In 1941 he moved to Coffeyville. On May 24, 1953 he married Arlene Webb in Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville. Ralph worked as a security guard for Wells Fargo, as a orderly at Coffeyville Memorial Hospital, and for many years delivered groceries, and prescriptions. Arlene preceded him in death on June 21, 2010. Ralph was a member of Westside Christian Church. He is survived by numerous cousins. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Arlene, and one brother Henry Copeland. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 15, 2011 at Westside Christian Church in Coffeyville with Pastor Mike Elrod officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwod Cemetery Friends may call on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
