Donald D. Todd, 89, of Coffeyville passed away Thursday morning August 4, 2011 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville.
He was born January 21, 1922 at Peru, KS to Hazel Ray and Laura (Williams) Todd. Donald grew up and attended school in Peru, graduating from Peru High School.
In 1942 he married Vera Berner at Dewey, OK. Following their marriage they moved to Coffeyville where they made their home. Donald was a machinist and worked at Wheatley Valve Co. in Caney for many years until retiring.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Coffeyville. Donald enjoyed working in his yard, and volunteering his time helping his friends, neighbors and several organizations in the community.
He also loved dogs, and could be seen walking them every day in the neighborhood.
Survivors include his wife, Vera of the home; one son, Larry Todd of Tulsa, OK; three grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church in Coffeyville with Pastor Diane Massey officiating. Following Donald's wishes cremation has taken place.
Friends may sign the register book on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 .m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
