Raymond L. "Ray" Vaughn, 29, of Coffeyville, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2008 from injuries received in a automobile accident.
He was born March 28, 1978 at Coffeyville to Raymond E. "Rocky" and Joyce (Smith) Vaughn. He grew up in Coffeyville and attended local schools.
Ray enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting.
He married Sonya Welch, they later seperated.
Survivors include his wife, Sonya of Pryor, OK; three sons, Shelby Turner of Keota, OK, Noah Turner of Keota, OK, and Raymond L. Vaughn II of Coffeyville; one daughter, Madison Nichole Vaughn of Coffeyville; his parents, Rocky and Joyce Vaughn of Coffeyville; one brother, Justin Vaughn of Coffeyville; maternal grandparents, Eva Smith of Coffeyville, and Everett and Betty Smith of Coffeyville; and maternal great-grandparents, Edgar and Meriam Smith of Coffeyville.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2008 at the Lewark Church of God with Pastor J.D. Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
Friends may sign the register book on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The casket will be closed.
The family suggests memorials to the Ray Vaughn Memorial Fund; contributions may be left with the funeral home; or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Rd., Coffeyville, KS 67337.
