Obituary of Lois Ann Krenz

Lois Ann Krenz, 71, of South Coffeyville, passed away Monday (February 4, 2008) at her home.
She was born May 14, 1936 at Haven, Kansas to Carl H. and Esther L. (Bauman) Krenke. She grew up and attended school in Haven, graduating from Haven High School. Following high school she attended St. John's College in Winfield, KS.
After completing her education she taught school for nine years.
On November 30, 1968 she married Leo Krenz at Haven. Following their marriage they made their home in South Coffeyville where Lois had an in-home daycare service for many years. Leo preceded her in death in May of 2004.
Lois was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Coffeyville.
Survivors include three sons, Anthony Karl Krenz of Jenks, OK; Jeff Krenz of Charlotte, NC, and Alan Krenz of Marshville, NC; four daughters, Jennifer Sisco of Lenapah, OK, Lucinda Pursley of Coffeyville, Dana Ann Butler of Charlotte, NC, and Diana Forth of South Coffeyville, OK; three brothers, Milton Krenke and Douglas Krenke both of Wichita, and Arnold Krenke of Haven; 15 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Lois has been preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Services will be Friday, February 8, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Coffeyville, with Rev. Richard Peckman officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
Friends may call on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church.
The family suggests that contributions be made in Lois' memory to the Sunday School Program at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where she devoutly taught Sunday School for many years or to the South Coffeyville Volunteer Fire Department.
