Wilma Lee Moomaw, 79, of Coffeyville, passed away Friday, June 3, 2011 at her home.
She was born June 26, 1931 at Henryetta, OK to Wilburn Lee and Mary Ellen (Jenkins) Boatright. Wilma grew up and attended school in Henryetta and Miami, OK.
On April 14, 1951 she married Jack Elton Moomaw. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville. Her husband preceded her in death in November 2001.
Wilma was employed at Spears Mfg until retiring after 18 years of employment.
She was a member of Tyro Christian Church, and American Legion Auxiliary. Wilma loved spending time with her family, enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and caring for animals. In her younger years she loved to ride Harley's with her husband.
Survivors include three daughters, Vicki McCullough and husband Brian of Coffeyville, Jeanett Witwer and husband Fred of Coffeyville, and Jackie Crumrine and husband Terry of Marion, KS; one brother Leo Broatright of Henryetta, OK; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at the Tyro Christian Church in Tyro with David Bycroft officiating. Burial will be in Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville.
Friends may call on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
The family suggests memorials to the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, or Coffeyville Animal Shelter; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
