Hello family,
Derrick, Sa Nette, Lee Ann, I was just told about your Mom's passing. I'm still stunned and saddened. However, African religions teach us that as long we keep memories of our loved ones active, they're always with us. I will miss her as I miss you all. I was just telling the story a few weeks ago about her and Apple Sour Cream Pie on Thanksgiving.
Love and prayers go up for strength and comfort to you all from Mom (Clairborne), me, and my family here in Upstate NY. I hate that we can't be there Monday for you but please know we are thinking about you.
Much love,
J.R. C.

I first met Karen in the late sixtys at CJC - I think I had about 2 classes with her- then again when she worked at the refinery. Karen was a really good person- always had something interesting to say. I used to give her a call every once in a well to see what she had been up to. Sad loss because she wasn't that old.

SaNette & Derrick, my granny just got back from Coffeyville and told me about Ms. Karen. I am truly sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful person. Growing up in the Ville we all got a chance to be around each others family's and I can truly say your mom was awesome. She always made me fill comfortable when I was over there. I can still remember her smile. I know you all know, but to be absent in body means to be present in the Lord. Take some comfort in knowing she is with The Father.
