Mary Beth Jones Doye, 55, of Caney, passed away Monday (February 4, 2008) at St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa, OK.
She was born November 29, 1952, at Independence, Kansas to John and Mary Nell (Fogerty) Williams. She grew up in the Caney area where she attended school.
On January 24, 1969 she married Lloyd Jones at Caney, KS. They were later divorced.
She later married Mike Doye, they were later divorced.
Mary Beth worked her entire life in the medical field, as a medical assistant for Dr. Robert Moore, and Dr. Richard Cole in Caney, she was also employed at the Caney Hospital and Caney Rest Home. Later she was employed at BlueStem Clinic and was presently the Business Office Manager for BlueStem Cardiology, Dr's. Tinker, DeFehr & Dykstra in Bartlesville, OK.
As much as Mary Beth loved helping people and working in the medical field her proudest accomplishment was her three daughters and seven grandchildren. Nothing brought a smile to her face faster than the mention of one of her grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathianne Denny and husband Bill of Caney, Raechel Long of Caney, and Kelly Jones and Steve Hellwig of Pittsburg; her mother and step-father, Mary Nell and Dennis Alston of Caney; two sisters, Ruth Ann Williams of Caney, and Kathy Hart and husband Randy of Bartlesville, OK; and seven grandchildren, Dakota and Riley Denny, Andy, Savannah Long, and Carson Jones all of Caney, and Mattie and Brooklyn Hellwig of Pittsburg.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday (February 9, 2008) at the Assembly of God in Caney with Reverend Mike Morris officiating. Cremation has taken place.
The family requests memorials to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure (Breast Cancer Foundation); contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337
Friends may sign the register book on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
