Obituary of Gladys Lynn

Coffeyville - Gladys Marie Lynn, 93, of Coffeyville passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. She was born on April 21, 1920, north of Coffeyville to Louis and Francis (Startz) Benning. Gladys grew up on the family farm and attended Spring Hill School. On December 29, 1949, she married Robert "Bob" Lynn at Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home and raised their family in Coffeyville. Her husband preceded her in death in 1993. Gladys was a lifelong member of Holy Name Catholic Church, and the Altar Society. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, and enjoyed playing cards and quilting. Survivors include two sons, Bill Lynn and wife Linda of rural Bartlett, Steve Lynn and wife Louise of rural Oswego; one daughter, Mary Anne Lynn of Lakeland, FL; six grandchildren, Jody Lynn Donohue of Fredonia, Angie Lynn Shannon of Henderson, TX, Wendy Lynn of Dublin, CA, Destry Lynn of Altamont, Kara Lynn McIlvain of Parsons, and Meghan Lynn of Colony, TX; and five great-grandchildren, Tehl Lynn, Josie Lynn, Ridley Lynn, Dillon McIlvain, and Kylie McIlvain. A Rosary Vigil Service will be at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2014, at Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville. Family visitation will follow the Rosary. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 17, 2014, at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Ben Nguyen officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Coffeyville.
