Coffeyville - Carson "Phil" Priddy, 73, of Coffeyville, passed away Monday evening at his home in Coffeyville. He was born August 16, 1937 in Coffeyville to Hugh Grant and Marion (Crawford) Priddy. Phil attended Holy Name Catholic School, and Field Kindley High School. Phil enlisted in the US Navy in 1954 and serving in the Pacific aboard the USS O'Brien and the USS Formoe. After completing his enlistment in July 1958 he returned to Coffeyville where he attended and graduated from Coffeyville Junior College, and began working for Cooperative Refinery (Farmland Industries) at Coffeyville, retiring in 1999 completing 41 years of service. On June 4, 1960 he married Patricia Pierce at Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville, where they also raised a family. Phil was a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church, 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus Council #991, Joyce Kilmer 4th degree Knights of Columbus council # 0281, VFW post 1022, and American Legion Post #20. Phil served on the committee for the Holy Name Building and Finance, Rural Water #7 Board and was a part of the VFW Military Honor Guard. Survivors include his wife Patricia Priddy of the home, three sons; Curtis Priddy and wife Heather of Tulsa, OK, Mike Priddy and wife Fangjie of Millburn, NJ, and Christopher Priddy of Houston, TX; his mother, Marion Priddy, Mt. Zion, IL, two sisters; Mary Lou Harrill and husband Howard of Lebanon, MO, Janie Cole and husband Don of Dalton City, IL; one brother Hugh Priddy and wife Carol of Scottsdale, AZ; and two grandchildren; Carson Priddy of Tulsa, OK, Iris Priddy of Philadelphia, PA, He was preceded in death by his father Hugh Priddy. A Rosary Vigil Service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2011 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00AM Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Ben Nguyen officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 12:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family suggests memorials to Holy Name School, Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice or American Cancer Society; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W.
