Obituary of Nettie Unos Holt

Coffeyville - Nettie Unos Holt, 84, of Coffeyville, passed away Monday, February 10, 2014 at her home. She was born July 8, 1929, at Niotaze, KS to Joseph Carl and Ula Blanche (Wilson) Paul. She spent her childhood and attended her first 3 years in school at Niotaze, when her family moved to Tyro and later to Coffeyville where she completed her education graduating from Field Kindley High School. On April 7, 1950 she married Billy J. Holt at Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville. Her husband preceded her in death on February 19, 2010. Mrs. Holt was a member of Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church. She loved animals and gardening. Survivors include one son, Jimmy Holt of Coffeyville; and one sister, Ellen Turowski of Bartlesville, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one daughter Peggy Holt in 1958. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church in Coffeyville. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville. Friends may sign the register book on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W.
