Obituary of Edith Green

Sedan - Edith "Renee" Green, age 47, of Sedan, Kansas passed away Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She was born July 29, 1960 in Salina, Kansas to Raymond and Loretta Brown. She grew up and graduated from Salina South High School. She married Rodger Green on July 7, 1984 in Salina, Kansas in her parent's backyard. They moved to Sedan in 1985, where they have resided ever since. She worked at the Chautauqua County Courthouse as a dispatcher and in the Register of Deeds office. She also worked for SKIL in Sedan, as well as being a housewife. She was a member of the Amazing Grace Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas. She loved jewelry and her animals, especially her dogs MaSue and Sadie and Wally her cat. She is survived by her husband, Rodger Green of the home in Sedan, Kansas; her mother, Loretta Ledett of Salina, Kansas; one son, Rodger Green II of Kearney, Nebraska; one daughter, Rebecca Adamson of Pittsburg, Kansas; one sister, Michelle Ledett of Salina, Kansas and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, grandmother and aunts and uncles. Family and friends may call from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, February 3, 2008 at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home of Sedan, Kansas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 4, 2008 at the First Christian Church of Sedan with Pastor Gary Stevens of the Amazing Grace Chapel of Coffeyville officiating. Interment will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Chautauqua, Kansas. The family has suggested memorial contributions to the Amazing Grace Chapel of Coffeyville or the First Christian Church of Sedan and these remembrances may be left in care of the David W. Barnes Funeral Home of Sedan.
