Mabel Ann Adams, 94, of Coffeyville, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011 at her home.
She was born March 27, 1916 at Quay, OK to Charles and Ella (Dillon) Davis. Her family moved to the Coffeyville area when she was young.
On September 19, 1933 she married Kenneth Earl Adams at Independence, KS. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville. For 25 years they owned and operated Adams Feed Store. Her husband preceded her in death in August 1998.
Mrs. Adams was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one granddaughter that was raised by Mrs. Adams, Terri Jones and husband Ralph of Coffeyville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Betty Jean Shores; one granddaughter, Kathy Sue Shores; two brothers, Elvy Davis and Jiggs Davis; and two sisters, Gladys Miller and Edna Davis
A Graveside Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday in Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville.
Friends may sign the register book on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
