Laura Mae Romines, 87, of Coffeyville, passed away Friday, January 14, 2011 at her home.
She was born April 3, 1923 at South Coffeyville, OK to Benjamin Harrison and Julia Mae (Taylor) McDaniel. Mrs. Romines grew up and attended school in the South Coffeyville and Coffeyville area.
On June 1, 1939 she married Cleo Romines at Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville. Her husband preceded her in death on March 31, 1994.
Laura was a member of Lewark Church of God. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Ann Etheridge, Bonnie Sue Wisely, and Rita M. Lashley all of Coffeyville; two sons, Ronald Cleo Romines and wife, Judy, and Kenneth Wayne Romines all of Coffeyville; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Richard Tenn Romines, one daughter, Shirley Jean Romines; two brothers and one sister.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at the Lewark Church of God with Pastor Ernie Wright and Pastor J.D. Wright officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
The family suggests memorials to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
