Obituary of Patricia Ann Brown

Coffeyville - Patricia Ann Brown, age 85, of Coffeyville, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville. She was born July 17, 1928 to Gus Platis and Catherine Miller in Coffeyville, Kansas. She graduated from Field Kindley High School. After high school she received her associate's degree from Coffeyville Community College. On June 12, 1948 she married Dillard O. Brown in Coffeyville. She worked as a Bookkeeper for Tool Supply Inc. for thirty years. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 5, 1957. Patricia was a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church. She loved everything about horses. She enjoyed riding them and caring for them. She is survived by one son Charles Brown of Coffeyville, Kansas; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Rosary Vigil Service will be Friday, January 31, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. and Mass of Christian burial service will follow at the Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Ben Nguyen officiating. Burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Coffeyville. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, KS from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family has suggested memorials to the Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville and may be left in care of the funeral home or mailed to David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 N. Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
