Obituary of Kelly Hart

Sedan - Kelly Lee Hart, age 70, passed away Friday, December 24, 2010 at his home in Sedan, Kansas. He was born February 7, 1940 in Sedan to Elmer Reed Hart and Hazel Bea (Walker) Hart. Kelly was a long time resident of Chautauqua County and enjoyed many occupations during his life. He was proud to be called a cowboy and worked for many local ranches. Kelly's many horses and chickens brought much joy to his life. He also worked in the oil fields, drove semi trucks, was a carpenter and worked pipeline for a short time. The loves of Kelly's life was his family, friends, playing his guitar, and singing with his wife Patty. He was a member of several bands. He was a member of the Jonesburg Church and loved the Lord very much. He is survived by his wife Patty and his mother-in-law Mildred Powers of the home; One sister, Vera (Sis) Lesher of Sedan, Kansas; Three Sons; Jimmy Hart and wife Tonya of Bowring, Oklahoma, Travis (Fudd) Hart and wife Tiffany of Havana, Kansas, and Kenny Ellis (stepson) of Napels, Florida; One daughter, Annette Lambdin and husband Scott of Havana, Kansas; Two Stepsons, Ricky (Lurch) Lewis and wife Cathie of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Russell Lewis and wife Joy of Hugoton, Kansas; One Step-daughter, Cindy Allen of Sedan, Kansas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends. Kelly was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Steve Hart, father-in-law Lyle Powers; Stepsons, LeRoy Lewis and Mark Lewis; Great niece Destiny Raine Hart, step-greatgrandson Raiden Ambrose Lewis, niece Michelle Lee Hart, and great nephew Aaron Bradley Chatfield. Family and Friends may call on Monday, December 27, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan. Church services will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Sedan, Kansas with Reverend Gene DeWitt and Earl Tresner officiating.
