Coffeyville - Linford L. Wright, 72, of Coffeyville, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at his home. He was born July 13, 1938 at Coffeyville to Harland and May (Sprague) Wright. He grew up and attended school in Coffeyville. Mr. Wright lived in Coffeyville most of his life. On October 19, 1984 he married Nancy L. Matteson at Miami, OK. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville. Mr. Wright was a truck driver, driving for Lee Way Motor Freight and Yellow Freight for 25 years retiring in July 2003. He was a member of the Dearing Christian Church, and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, he also was an avid bowler. Survivors include his wife, Nancy of the home; 2 sons, Mark Wright of Moore, OK, and John Wright and wife, Dana of Oklahoma City, OK; three daughters, Sherry Ferguson and husband, Jim of Noble, OK, Susan Nyte of Edmond, OK, and Candace Fleming and husband, James of Midwest City, OK; one step-daughter, Sandra Wulf of Coffeyville; one step-son, David Foss and wife, Danielle of Marshalltown, IA; one brother, Gene Wright and wife, Linda of Overland Park, KS; three sisters, Shirley Harris and husband, Jack of Quapaw, OK, Darlene Bates and husband, Harold of Coffeyville, and Patricia Crittenden and husband, James of Siloam Springs, AR; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2010 at the Dearing Christian Church with Pastor Jamie Regis officiating. Burial will be in Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville. Friends may call on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Dearing Christian Church or Senior Services Meals on Wheels; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W.
