Coffeyville - Pauline M. (Shultz) Knisley, loving mother, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2014 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville, Kansas. She was born February 4, 1925 to Charles and Jessie (Sliger) Shultz. She grew up on a farm on the Kansas State line and graduated from Field Kindley High School in 1942. She married William O'Connell on June 9, 1949. They resided in Coffeyville and had five children. They were later divorced in 1957. Pauline married Charles Knisley, Sr. in 1961. They were married 26 years, before he preceded her in death in 1987. Pauline was a member of the Loyal Workers FFC unit from 1992-2010. They were active at making lap robes and other articles for the nursing home that she resided in at the time of her passing. In addition to her husband, Charles, she was preceded in death by two step-daughters, Darlene Riley and Novelia Williams and one step-son, Gary Knisley. She is survived by her children, Mike O'Connell, Patrick O'Connell and Debora McDonald, all of Coffeyville, Diane Evenson of Cherryvale, KS and Marie Sales of South Coffeyville, OK. step-daughter s Eulene Twitchell of Coffeyville, and Rebecca Tesh of Catoosa, OK step-sons Charles Knisley, Jr of Caney, KS and James Knisley of Carterville, MO and numerous grandchildren , great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Lewark Church of God in Coffeyville, KS with Pastor J.D. Wright and Pastor Ernie Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville, KS. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, KS from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family has suggested memorials to the Lewark Church of God in Coffeyville and may be left in care of the funeral home or mailed to David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 N. Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
