Obituary of Clarence D. Graybill

Coffeyville - Clarence D. Graybill, 92, of rural Altamont, KS passed away Friday morning, October 8, 2010 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington, KS. He was born April 2, 1918 in Dewey County, OK to Joe and Cora (Ireton) Graybill. He grew up in Oklahoma and attended Rhea School. On January 22, 1938 he married Helen Peck in Cheyenne, OK. Following their marriage they made their home in the Custer County, OK where they farmed until moving to their farm northeast of Edna, KS in 1962. Survivors include his wife, Helen of the home; two sons, Johnnie Graybill and wife Linda of rural Coffeyville, KS, and Freddie and wife Sue of Cottontown, TN; one brother, Albert Wayne Graybill of Blountville, TN; two sisters, Alma Foster of Thomas, OK, and Elma Watson of Carnegie, OK; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2010 in the Richland Cemetery north of Angola, KS with Rev. Gerald Morris of Grace Fellowship in Coffeyville, KS officiating. Friends may call on Monday, Oct. 11, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, KS. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
