Obituary of Donald George Brace

Sedan - Donald George Brace, age 69, of Sedan, Kansas passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2010 in Sedan, Kansas. He was born August 9, 1941 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to George Alfred and Beatrice Irene (Green) Brace. He attended school at Green Cove Springs, Florida. He married Patricia Dandurand on June 4, 1959 in Kankakee, Illinois. He was a farmer for ten years. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Brace of the home in Sedan, Kansas; five daughters, Kristie Purnell of Kankakee, Illinois, Roberta Porch of Golconda, Illinois, Donita Brace, Donna Morris and Debbie Terrell all of Sedan, Kansas; one son, Paul Brace of Bradley, Illinois; one sister, Carol Wilson of Sumrall, Mississippi, thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Joyce Myers. He enjoyed farming, gardening, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed his coffee time with his friends at the local restaurants and One Stop. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the Church of Christ in Sedan, Kansas with Pastor Joe Thomas officiating. A reception will follow immediately after the service at the Farm Bureau Meeting Room in Sedan. Inurnment will be held privately at a later date. The family suggests memorials to the Donald George Brace Memorial Fund and these remembrances may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W.
