Obituary of Nadine Fern Wall

Sedan - Nadine Fern Wall, 73, of Sedan, passed away January 17, 2014 at William Newton Hospital in Winfield. She was born on March 27, 1940 in Cedar Vale, Kansas, she was the daughter of Dale Franklin and Cora Fern (Metheney) Seaman. She graduated from Cedar Vale High School in 1958. She married Jackie Lee Wall on January 8, 1959 and made their home in Cedar Vale before moving to Sedan. She had her own hair shop, worked at Cedar Vale Hospital, USD #285 Cedar Vale, and at Pleasant Valley Manor. She enjoyed crocheting, playing dominoes, visiting with her friends, and helping at the library. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband in 2008. She is survived by her sons, Bill Wall, and wife, Debbie, of Cedar Vale, Kansas and Scott Wall of Winfield, Kansas; her grandchildren, Matt Wall and wife Stefanie of Leesburg, Virginia, Taggart Wall and wife, Elizabeth of Arkansas City, Kansas, Charissa Wall of Pittsburg, Kansas and Chantiel Barron-Galdamez of Arkansas City, Kansas; great grandchildren, Savannah and Hunter Wall, and Carmen Galdamez. Services will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Sedan with Reverend Jerry Bever officiating. Burial will follow at the Cedar Vale Cemetery in Cedar Vale. Family and friends may call Monday, January 20, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan. The family has suggested memorials to the American Cancer Society and Pleasant Valley Manor and can be left in care of the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan, 209 N. Douglas, Sedan, Kansas 67361.
