Coffeyville - Dennis Dean Cooper, 57, of Henryetta, OK, formerly of rural Welch, OK, passed away Wednesday morning, June 18, 2008, at the Oklahoma State University Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. Dennis is the son of Stanley and Charlotte (Lozier) Cooper of Welch, Oklahoma. He was born March 10, 1951 at Coffeyville Memorial Hospital. He lived at home until the age of 13, when he moved to Enid, OK to live at a home for children with disabilities. At the age of 18, he moved to Lakeside Nursing Home in Henryetta where he lived until the time of his death. Dennis is survived by his parents, Stanley and Charlotte (Lozier) Cooper of Welch, OK; four brothers, his twin brother David Cooper and his wife Geri of Tulsa, OK; Richard Cooper of Edna, KS, Ronald Cooper and his wife Carol of Oklahoma City, OK, and Tom Cooper and his wife Marty of Neodesha, KS; two sisters, Diane Birt and her husband Joe of Clarksville, TN, and Beth Rogers and her husband Terry of Dewey, OK; fifteen nieces and nephews, and thirteen great nieces and nephews. Dennis was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd and Mae Lozier, and JR and Minnie Cooper; one niece, Shawna Birt and one nephew, James Birt. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the David W. Barnes Funeral Home of Coffeyville and a private family service will be held at a later date. David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville is in charge of arrangements.
