Coffeyville - John Thomas Hannah, 67, of Coffeyville, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville. He was born April 22, 1946, at Globe, Arizona to Johnny Thomas Hannah and Darlene Belle (Stevens) Hannah. He attended schools in Arizona before moving to Coffeyville where he attended Cedar Bluff School and Field Kindley Memorial High School. After high school he attended Coffeyville Community College before entering the United States Army. He served his country until he was honorably discharged. He worked many jobs until working for American Craftsman as an assembler before his retirement. He lived in Rogers, Arkansas before moving back to Coffeyville in 1995. Johnny was a member of the Coffeyville American Legion Post #20. He also was very active in the Coffeyville City Pool League. He loved playing pool, horseshoes, and fishing. Survivors include; two sons, Tommy Thurman of Coffeyville, Kansas, Johnny Goode of Parsons, Kansas; two daughters, Melissa Kuffler of Parsons, Kansas and JoAnne Hannah of Oklahoma; three sisters, Iva Pearl of Coffeyville, Kansas, Lorraine Green of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and Beverly Blevins of Coffeyville, Kansas; two brothers, James Hannah of Coffeyville, Kansas and William Hannah of Parsons, Kansas; seven grandchildren and many family members and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, George A. Hannah and one sister, Imogene Chaney and his parents. Services will be held Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Amazing Grace Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, North of Coffeyville. Military Honor Guard will be provided by the Coffeyville V.F.W. Post #1022 and American Legion Post #20. Friends may call on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
