Rex Wayne Wickham, age 48, of Elgin, passed away on Wednesday morning, June 30, 2010 at Pleasant Valley Manor in Sedan.
He was born January 25, 1962 in Cedar Vale, Kansas to Tom and Hazel (Young) Wickham. He attended school at the Sedan High School. He married Pam Fulsom and they later divorced.
He worked as a pipeline fitter for numerous companies for over twenty years. He then worked for Jones and Buck Development as a roustabout and then as a pumper for Continental Oil Company until his recent illness.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gambling and loved to have a good time at everything.
He is survived by one son, Zachariah Ike Wickham of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; one daughter, Jesse Faye Wickham of Cedar Vale, Kansas; his parents, Tom and Hazel Wickham of Sedan, Kansas; two sisters, Rebecca Lynn Starbuck of Elk City, Oklahoma and Peggy Lynn Perry of Chelsea, Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
The casket will be closed and friends may sign the register book from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, July 1, 2010 at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home of Sedan, Kansas.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 2, 2010 at the Casement Cemetery west of Sedan, Kansas.
The family has suggested memorial contributions to the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and these remembrances may be left in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 209 N. Douglas, Sedan, Kansas 67361.
